For the well-being and safety of all animals, it’s mandatory to comply with the following requirements:

  • Rabies vaccine: must be up-to-date, with a minimum of 21 days and a maximum of 365 days of validity.
  • Pentavalent vaccine (Canine distemper, hepatitis, parainfluenza, laryngotracheitis, Parvovirus): must be up-to-date, with a minimum of 21 days and a maximum of 365 days of validity.
  • Internal deworming: must have been performed between 0 and 30 days before arrival.
  • External deworming: must have been performed between 0 and 30 days before arrival.
  • Veterinary certificate: a document that certifies compliance with the above points. You can download the document template by clicking here. You must hand in the completed document at the veterinary control and document submission point.

Special recommendation: Although the Basque Country is not an area with a high endemic percentage of Leishmaniasis, we recommend protecting your dogs from the bites of phlebotomine mosquitos.

Important: According to Law 7/2023, of March 28, on the protection of animal rights and welfare, all collars must have a “Stop” (a safety device or clasp that prevents the animal from suffocating).
